How to Commission a Portrait

If you decided to make a very special present for your loved one, then you have come to the right place.

Portraits can be commissioned based on a photograph provided by you ( whenever possible, Nadine would prefer to take a photo -portrait of a model herslef).

If you wish to commission a Portrait please contact Nadine to discuss the size of the canvas/paper, media (oil on canvas, acrylic etc) and the price.

Once the particulars have been negotiated, Nadine will make some preliminary sketches and take some photographs -this can only take a couple of hours.
She will continue painting from that material. She would need to spend some time studying the sitter to better understand his or her personality.

A Portrait can also be commissioned from a photograph and emailed to Nadine, though ideally she would still prefer to follow the standard procedure as described above, involving interaction with the sitter.

If you would like to have your portrait painted in the Old Masters style, then it might take a month or longer to paint such a portrait, depending on the size of the painting.
So, if you would like have a portrait paintied as a present to your loved one for his or her special occasion, please allocate a couple of months prior to the event.
